The Bill of Rights is a document drawn up by parliament British in 1689, and considered one of the cornerstones of the system Constitution of the United Kingdom . The name "Bill of Rights " means literally a bill ( bill) on rights ( rights), but the term came to mean the use of statement rights (And in English is in fact also common alternative name ( Declaration of Rights). The original title of the document was An Act Declaring the Rights and Liberties of the Subject and Settling the Succession of the Crown ("an act declaring the rights and liberty of the subject and defines the succession of the crown").
The Bill of Rights provides: - Freedom of speech and debate in Parliament - The prohibition of the king to abolish laws or impose taxes without the consent of Parliament - free elections for Parliament-Refusal to submit to a Catholic king can - that Parliament should be frequently met .- That the king could not persecute his subjects for religious reasons
The Bill of Rights was instituted by William III of Orange king who replaced the Dutch royal family of Stuart in 1688 in England. William of Orange was put to the throne by the people who no longer tolerate the incompetence of Stuart. William was able to ascend the throne as long as you sign the so-called "Basic Law " (Bill of Rights).
